Pridemaker
Apparel currently operates three automatic presses such as the one you see
pictured and 5 manual presses. We use the latest in screen stretching technology
to make sure the screen tension for your design is perfect. This means that
your custom t-shirt design will come out sharp and clean.
We have state of the art registering processes to line up artwork correct.
When the colors are lined up correctly, they produce a sharp image displaying
each color where it belongs. When this happens we say the job is "in
register". In order to do this on multi-colored jobs we use a special
registration system that starts with the artwork. This system, in combination
with our automated presses, has a tolerance of less than 1/1000 of an inch.
Again, look at one of the t-shirts in your collection and you’ll know
right away how good the registration is.
We embroider a wide variety of apparel including golf shirts, hats, beanies,
bags, custom t-shirts, and just about anything that’ll fit on our
machines. Embroidery is the process of sewing a design onto a garment. Your
design or logo can be sewn directly onto a garment through this process.
Embroidered garments are priced according to the number of stitches needed
to complete the design and the price of the garment. The first step is to
digitize your logo. We can take your logo in any format you choose and put
it in the proper format for embroidery. If you already have your design
digitized you can email it to us and save on the initial digitizing charge.
Pricing for embroidery is based on the number of stitches in your design.
The typical design is 5,000-7,000 stitches. The number of colors in the
design does not have a bearing on the price. No matter what your requirement
our experienced customer service reps can find the garments and colors that
will work for you.
It
all starts with the design. Just like a computer GIGO (garbage in, garbage
out). That’s why we employ our art director Alex. He’s a professional
artist and has been doing custom design art for years. He can create
your custom design from a concept, a drawing, or an existing logo / design.
Since each color requires a different screen the artwork has to be done
in a format that allows us to create color separations (seps). Each sep
is printed on special high grade acetate film and is then “burned”
onto a screen using an exposure unit that fixes the image onto the screen
Our designs are done in a vector format. If your design is in a .jpg, .gif
or .bmp format it will have to be redrawn in order to print seps. If you
blow up a JPEG image on your computer and look closely you will see that
the image gets fuzzy. Vector formatted art maintains its integrity no matter
what you do with the image. Once your design is complete a full color proof
will be emailed to you so you can see what it will look like on the garment
you are having printed*. Your design is also stored in a secure database
for future use. If you want to change the size or a feature of your design
all we do is pull it up from the database and the changes are done in minutes.
We do except customer - supplied artwork in the following formats…
Adobe Illustrator (.ai)
Abobe Photoshop (.psd)
(files may be sent in either native format or as a .pdf or .eps)
* Proofs are for “general viewing only! Because of descrepencies
in monitors, printers and other output devices the proofs are not accurate
gauges of color.
